CMA is urging Anthem Blue Cross to rescind a newly announced evaluation and management (E/M) claim review policy scheduled to take effect Feb. 15, 2026, warning that it may be inconsistent with the law and could lead to improper downcoding, delayed payments and increased administrative burden for physician practices.
