Introducing the 2012 VCMA President: Dr. Lynn Jeffers

The VCMA is very proud to present its 2012 President, Lynn Jeffers, Md.

Born to Dr. and Mrs. Dennis Chen, Dr. Jeffers earned her M.D. from University of Michigan, graduating in 1996.  She completed her internship and residency at the University of Michigan Health System 1996 – 2002.  After graduating, she taught rotating USC residents while on staff at City of Hope.  She returned home to establish a solo Plastic Surgery practice in Oxnard, sharing an office with her husband, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andrew Jeffers and her father.

This year Dr. Jeffers served as Chair of the CMA Young Physician Section, as well as on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. 

In February 2011 she was awarded the AMA Foundation 2011 Leadership Award for demonstrating outstanding nonclinical leadership skills in advocacy, community service and education.

She has been a member of VCMA since 2004, and a YPS Delegate since 2006, serving on the VCMA Board of Governors since 2008.  Dr Jeffers is the VCMA's first woman president.

She resides with her husband, Andrew Jeffers, MD, Orthopedics and children in Camarillo.
